Fecal Microbiota Transplant

Have you been taking antibiotics long-term and/or having recurring bouts of Clostridium Difficile (C.Diff) with chronic watery or bloody stool?

Do you suffer Ulcerative Colitis, Chronic Constipation or Irritable   Bowel Syndrome?

Have you had Chemotherapy or Radiation where your gut flora has been compromised?

Has spending more time in the bathroom sitting on the toilette with cramps destroyed your quality and quantity of life? Do you feel that you are at the end of your rope due to suffering with any of these issues, then you may be a good candidate for FMT and we can help.

What is FMT?

FMT, or Fecal Microbiota Transplant, is the process of transplanting or infusing fecal bacteria from a healthy individual to an individual who's bacteriological gut health has been compromised. Sound weird?

Gardeners have been doing just this with soil for centuries. If soil is compromised with GMO's, or crops have not been rotated properly, or you want your plants to really thrive the coming season, than the introduction of healthy bacteria is added to the soil usually in Spring. Have you ever smelled the farmer spraying liquid manure? If you have, it's an odour hard to forget.

The idea, of course is that if the soil loses its microbiological stability to be able to support the growth of healthy food organisms, then animal manure will be introduced to stabilize its health, reintroducing good bacteria into the soil's ecology. Make sense?

The fascinating thing is that you only need a small amount of healthy manure to promote the healthy restoration as the living soil organisms replicate the good bacteria throughout its bio system en masse. We're a lot the same.

You too are a microbiological host and the principles stated above can also be true for you. If you've suffered long-term health complications where you can't wholly stabilize your gut flora, on your own, due to C Diff, producing chronic diarrhea, loss of appetite, fever, weight loss, blood or pus in your stool, you could be a good candidate for FMT.

FMT is like fecal transfusion very much like a soil transplant from a healthy donor. You only need the smallest amount. Think of it like a probiotic transfusion that has the power to wholly restore your colonic flora. We think of it as bacteriotherapy for your colon.

What does an FMT treatment entail?

The fecal transplant procedure is performed by a Licensed Practical Nurse/Certified Colon Hydrotherapist who has been nursing for over 20 years and performing colonics since 2010 and is a member of I-Act (International Association Colon Therapist). These small Microbiota infusions will be inserted gently into the rectum by a sterile 60 cc syringe with a pliable sterile attachment. You can avail yourself of her donors supremely healthy supply of fecal flora, or you can bring your own from a trusted family member or close friend with pristine health. Only use someone as a donor who has a perfect diet, high in fermented foods, probiotics and uses no alcohol or stimulants.

The stool that we have stored in our freezer from our preferred donor whom is also a Doctor of Natural Medicine and meets all the required specifications and has also submitted a Poop Profile for you to review.

Studies show that one to three infusions of healthy bacterial fecal flora from a healthy human donor can reverse the ill effects of C Diff, IBS, Ulcerative Colitis, Chronic Constipation. In some cases the debilitating illness disappears after one treatment! The many benefits reported by those having FMT include the restoration of the colon Microbiota, the permanent eradication of C. difficile and clinical resolution of cramping, diarrhea and antibiotic resistance. If there is any relapse in symptoms, it is generally due to the overt presence of C.diff spores hidden in the recesses of the gut nearer to the ileum where the large intestine meets the small intestine.

Why isn't FMT more widely used?

At one time FMT was considered a last ditch effort in therapeutics by medical professionals. They figured antibiotics (literally "against life") were less invasive and less risky than a fecal implant. Unfortunately as a species who depend much on healthy gut flora for our health, we've suffered inordinately, as a result just like our compromised soils. Did you know that antibiotics are the original source for C. diff? Now, we're able to bring this safe, probiotic rich, infusion as a primary treatment to patients suffering deteriorating health quickly and easily thus promoting homeostasis and lowering the rate of mortality for many suffers.

Who else may benefit?

As of May 2008 studies have indicated that FMT can positively affect those suffering neurological diseases such as Fibromyalgia, Multiple Sclerosis, Lyme and Parkinson's. Dr. T.J. Borody was researching patients suffering both C. Diff and Parkinson's where he realized that after FMT treatments their health began to markedly improve. In some cases former suffers were not even detectable as Parkinson's patients by other neurologists.

Where can I get treatment?
